Vegan ‘tuna’ salad recipe

Now, this title might seem weird. A fake tuna salad? Why replicate tuna when I stopped eating it? Well, I have a lot of reasons to not eat meat or fish, which I will discuss below, but flavor isn’t one of them. Yes, I love the taste of fish too, I mean who doesn’t? But, for me it was not enough to still eat it. So, when I found out about this vegan ‘tuna’ salad I was eager to try it. I absolutely love it and that’s why I want to share it with you today. Sustainable travel: Going to Albufeira by train!

When I calculated my impact last year, I knew something had to change. I was doing quite well, because I live vegan and buy most of my stuff secondhand, but flying seemed to be a major issue. I could fly and still have the amount of eco-points to live a sustainable life. But, I want to live as sustainable as I can, so that means the less negative impact, the better. So, I decided to quit flying by plane! But, I am going on a holiday this year! By train. Today I’ll tell you how. Continue reading “Sustainable travel: Going to Albufeira by train!”

Must Watch: SuperSize Me

Watching this documentary was not planned (I just have a list on my phone and I watch whichever I feel like watching), but the timing seemed to perfect in the end. This year, me and boyfriend did a bet. We bet not go to MacDonalds (or any other fast food company in The Netherlands, like KFC or Burger King) for a full year! So, this documentary was a great one to watch to keep me motivated: I’m talking about SuperSize Me. Continue reading “Must Watch: SuperSize Me”

Thrift haul- February 2019

As a person, the most sustainable thing you can do is stop buying new stuff. And since I’m trying to live as sustainable as I can, I took the pledge to not buy anything new. You can see how I did the past year in this blogpost. But, sometimes you do need things. I don’t think I can buy nothing for the rest of my life, and that wouldn’t be fun. But luckily, there is a solution! Thrifting. Buying things secondhand, so no new resources are needed. And that’s exactly what I did. Continue reading “Thrift haul- February 2019”
