I bought a new thrifted item: jeans

You might think it’s not worth the effort to write a blogpost about just one piece of clothing I bought, but I disagree. So, here I am, sharing just one item I bought a while back. Why? Because I think it’s important to value every single sustainable choice made. So, here I am, with a small blogpost about a jeans. Continue reading “I bought a new thrifted item: jeans”

Weekly diary #87: Spending the Easter weekend in Berlin

Hi there, welcome to my 87th weekly diary on this blog! On this blog I write posts about an eco-positive lifestyle, but sometimes it’s hard to imagine what that lifestyle looks like on a normal day. That’s why I write these weekly diaries. The past week I visited Berlin and did two more interviews for my thesis. Want to read along? Greeting cards: a single use item I don’t refuse

Last week I told you more about the 5R’s of zero waste. The biggest part is to refuse things I said, single use things mainly. But what if there is an item that is zero waste and you just don’t want to refuse? It’s not impossible, it happens to me too. Today I want to talk specifically about a single use item I personally don’t refuse: greeting cards. Continue reading “Greeting cards: a single use item I don’t refuse”

The 5R’s of zero waste

I’ve been blogging on here for a while now, I think it’s been about three years. The starting point of this whole green and eco-positive lifestyle has been a zero waste lifestyle. It’s the thing I started blogging about at first, but over the years it has evolved into a whole different lifestyle. But, a zero waste lifestyle is still very important to me, as I thrive to live zero waste and spread this message. Recently I did a lecture about a zero waste lifestyle at my local library, talking about the base of a zero waste lifestyle. While I did that, I realized I had never talked about it on here. So, today I want to tell you more about the philosophy of zero waste, the 5R’s.

Nutrition app: Cronometer

The last few years my view on weight and body image has changed a lot. Where I used to focus on a quite random number on a scale and count how many calories I consumed, I am all about body positivity now. I am realizing more and more how important it is to love yourself and your body. So, it might seem weird that today I am sharing a nutrition app, since this usually means losing weight and counting calories. But no, this app is different. Today I want to tell you about Cronometer: an app for healthy nutrition. Continue reading “Nutrition app: Cronometer”

Continue reading “Weekly diary #84: I passed my thesis proposal defense!”

Zero waste snack: roasted chickpeas

Snacking, I think it’s something we all do (even if you claim you don’t). I mean, who doesn’t love a sugary or salty (in my case) snack on a good movie night or get together with friends. I think snacks are essential! Finding zero waste snacks can be quite hard, if you’re tied to a ‘normal’ supermarket. But, there are tons of zero waste snacks out there and today might be just right for you. I want to share a recipe for roasted chickpeas! Continue reading “Zero waste snack: roasted chickpeas”
