Zero Waste Toothpaste with Fluoride

This week I’m writing about brushing my teeth again. Just like I wrote before about a zero waste toothbrush. This time, I want to tell you about the stuff you put on the toothbrush, toothpaste. Very important to use (even though I read somewhere that it’s more important to brush than to use toothpaste, but I don’t believe that)! Today I’ll tell you about zero waste toothpaste with fluoride!

Trying vegan cheese

When it comes to food, I love trying new things! I find it exciting to try new dishes (but the struggle in favorite restaurants is always real, should I try something new or go for my favorite dish?). New things can also be a little scary, because they can turn out disgusting too. You just can’t tell. The past week I tried something new: grilled cheese sandwiches with vegan cheese.

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

The past week I was sick, I had a bad flu. However, I felt like this was a good moment to share about happiness. Because I felt so grateful now that I gotten better again. A good moment to share the book: The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. A book about creating good habits and an intentional lifestyle.

I’ve been to a lecture by Bea Johnson!

A while ago, the bloggers of Het Zero Waste Project announced that they’ve been organizing a lecture in Amsterdam. Bea Johnson was coming to Amsterdam! Oh my, I was so happy to hear this news and I believe I was one of the first people to buy a ticket. The 14th of March it happened, and I was there! Yes, I’ve been to a lecture by Bea Johnson.

Volunteering At The Gouda Clean-up

As I’ve written before, I went to my second volunteering activity with Greenpeace on March 4th. On a lovely Saturday noon I went Gouda, because we were going to clean the streets (and the canals) together with The Party for the Animals, the local Greenpeace group of Rotterdam and anyone else who wanted to join. It was an inspiring day for me and I had loads of fun too! I went volunteering at the Gouda Clean-up.

Voting with your money

Yes, finally, here it is! A blogpost about voting and so also about the upcoming elections in The Netherlands, because those are in two days. I couldn’t resist to write a post about it, because I find voting seriously important. But don’t worry, this isn’t going to be a post about which party I think you should vote for, because well, that’s up to you. What I want to talk about is voting every single day, because everyone does. Here’s all about voting with your money.

Zero waste essential: a reusable bag

In the past two years that I’ve been working as a cashier, I have seen hundreds, maybe thousand of plastic bags come by. It’s horrendous. People put the weirdest things in plastic. A bunch of bananas, leek or lettuce. I’ve even seen people put plastic bags around plastic bags. Really, I kid you not. Today I’ll tell you about a zero waste essential: a reusable bag.

A Great Organization: Greenpeace

Today I want to share more about Greenpeace. That’s because I just signed up for another activity of them which is just right for me. A big clean-up in Gouda the 4th of March! This is only my second activity with Greenpeace, but I want to share more about Greenpeace already. My view of them has always been good, even after seeing Cowspiracy where they didn’t show up in a good way. They do intend to save our planet! In June 2016 I discovered again some new information and I signed up as a volunteer. Consequently, I was hooked! Today I want to tell you more about this great organization: Greenpeace.

The Blue Zones by Dan Buettner

Longevity fascinates me. Why do some people live 70 years? And why do others live 110 years? Some people die extremely fit still and some die in pain. How does this work? This is not a post in which I am going to tell you how you’ll live 110 years, because well, I simply can’t. But! I am going to tell you that there are ways to make sure you age in a healthy way, feeling fit. That’s what I thrive for myself (at 18 years old haha). The past few weeks I read: The Blue Zones by Dan Buettner.
