About one year ago, I posted an article about all the sustainable hotspots in Enschede. It consisted of vegan restaurants and secondhand clothing hotspots. In hindsight, I am not happy with that article, because it’s actually two things in one. This combination makes both the vegan restaurants and secondhand clothing shops hard to find (on…
Category: Hotspots
In this category you will find all the sustainable hotspots I have visited so far. All posts are constantly updated whenever I visit some place again. I made these posts so that when you have a trip upcoming, you can check out these posts. You’ll see all the sustainable hotspots I have found so far. Secondhand clothing, vegan food, places to chill, it’s all there!
And always remember: travel sustainably. All these places that I listed are places I visited by train or car. Flying is never sustainable. So, if you fly to somewhere and then visit only sustainable hotspots, this does not compensate. So, remember, travel sustainably to these places!
Vegan restaurants in Edinburgh
In May of this year I visited Scotland, by train, for about a week with my dad. We stayed in Edinburgh for a few days and then traveled further north. My dad left the planning of the entire trip up to me, as it was a trip he gifted to me when I graduating my…
Secondhand shops in Enschede
It took me a very long time, but it’s finally here: an article all the secondhand shops in Enschede, The Netherlands. The place where I was born. I moved out of Enschede in 2020 and ever since I have lived in other places in The Netherlands. That means that I am not there as often…
Vegan restaurants in Amsterdam
I moved to Amsterdam in September 2021 and have been living here for about 6 months now. I love Amsterdam and everything it has to offer. If the area was not so polluted due to Schiphol and Tata Steel I would even consider living here all my life. Amsterdam is modern, that’s why it has…
The most fun and sustainable hotspots on Texel
The holiday season has started in The Netherlands and since the amount of COVID-19 cases was heavily falling my family and I went on a holiday. We did stay within our own country, we went to Texel, one of the Dutch islands. That feels safe because of COVID-19 but going on a holiday nearby can…
Sustainable and fun hotspots in Haarlem
It’s time for another hotspot! Over the past months in which I’ve decided to ditch the plane I’ve come to realize that holidays don’t have to be far away from home. Even better, I’ve come to realize that my own home country The Netherlands is beautiful! You just have to look. That’s why I am…
Vegan restaurants in Berlin
A few weeks ago I went to Berlin with my boyfriend for a weekend. Even though I had a blast, a weekend is too short. Berlin is huge! And amazing at the same time. So much to see, so many hotspots, a woman from the bike tour we did told us Berlin is six times…
Fun and Sustainable Hotspots in Prague
It’s time for another hotspot! A city I visited and fell in love with: Prague! I travel a lot, right? Yes, I am very spoiled. But I’m trying to do it more sustainable and less too. I’ve been to Prague for 5 days in total and it was 30 degrees Celsius every day. However, we…
Fun and Sustainable Hotspots on Ameland
Maybe you’ve read this in my past weekly diary. I’ve gone on a holiday to Ameland for a week! I had loads of fun! Ameland really provided us with everything we wanted. Fun, good weather and good food. And so, I am sharing this hotspot with you today. This place is amazing, especially if you’re…
Vegan restaurants in Paris
Past week I’ve been to the city of love, Paris. It were the four most amazing days. Paris is definitely a hotspot and it close by the Netherlands. I have to say: four days were not enough. A month might not even be enough! But right now a month off doesn’t fit in my agenda…
