Posted on February 17, 2025February 16, 2025

Last year, I wrote three ‘types’ of recommendation articles: book recommendations, documentary recommendations and series recommendations. This year, I am sharing only two: my book recommendations from 2024 and today an article about my series recommendations from 2024. Because honestly, I made no time in 2024 for documentaries. But since series are usually shorter and…

Last year I finally decided that I was going to share all my book recommendations from one year together in one article, instead of writing a separate article about every book. I think this adds more value for you, the reader. And at the same time, this saves me time as well. Last year this…

My book recommendations from 2023

Posted on January 1, 2024January 24, 2025

I’ve decided to do things a little different. In the past, I used to write an entire blogpost about one book that I recommend. But starting from today (2024, happy new year!), I want to write one post a year in which I recommend the books which I read the year before and think are…

How not to die by Micheal Greger

I found it. The ultimate book that tells me how to eat in order to live longest and best. It’s called How not to die by Micheal Gregor. A book that describes the scientific basis of what’s written in it and tells me on a day to day basis what to eat. When I think…

We should all be feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Posted on June 12, 2023January 23, 2025

This title says it all. We should all be feminists. But we are not. I think that has to do with a negative image that many people have of feminists. The word feminist even has a negative connotation. People think of it as a curse word. ‘Oh no, I’m not a feminist, I’m not that…

ABOUT ME

when a teen goes green

Hi! My name is Romee and I live an eco-positive life. An eco-positive lifestyle is a lifestyle with more positive than negative impact on beautiful planet earth. Compared to most people, I live extremely sustainable. I don’t fly, eat meat or animal products, buy only secondhand clothing, etc. On the other hand, I try to help others as much as I can by donating a big chunk of my income, donating plasma, donating poop (yes!), volunteering, etc. On this blog you can read all about my lifestyle with only positive impact. I also have a Dutch Youtube channel (@duurzaamleven) and Dutch Instagram (@duurzaamlevenro). If you have specific questions for me, feel free to ask me anything.

Yours sincerely,
Romee (she/her)
