7 Charities to Support People

Posted on June 27, 2022January 21, 2023

Last week I wrote about the 6 charities I support which support nature. I then told you that I do not only support charities which support nature, I also support organizations which help people and animals. This makes for 3 categories.  Next week I’ll tell you about the charities I support which help animals. This week…

7 Charities to Support Nature

Donating money to charities is something I think everybody who has the resources should do. For me personally, I live at least eco-neutral, meaning that I live within the boundaries of the planet. However, eco-neutral is only the base**. I want to live eco-positive. I want to actually contribute something to make this world a…

The Loneliness of an Eco-positive Lifestyle

Posted on June 6, 2022June 3, 2022

I am very confident that my sustainability journey and eco-positive lifestyle make me the happiest version of myself. But there is one dark side of this eco-positive lifestyle. This dark side does not have much to do me, but it has everything to do with the people surrounding me. Today I want to open up…

Mainstream news in The Netherlands is depressing. It has to be shocking, sensational and topical. This way news gets negative and people feel like the world around them is changing for the worse. Why we Should Pay for Journalism

Today, there are a lot of options to gather news for free. In the Netherlands there are multiple websites who offer you news for free. At the same time, there’s also a group of people who use social media as their news platform, another form of free news. There is no such things as free…

How a Small Group Can Change the World

When it comes to people in my surroundings, I behave differently than them. I take the climate crisis very serious and to be honest, I don’t think I have direct friends or family who live like me. They either still fly, eat meat or dairy or have other habits that don’t allow them to live…

Vegan Food Diary for a Week

Posted on February 21, 2022November 24, 2022

I’m back with an old favorite: a food diary. Over the past 4 years as a vegan I’ve gotten more and more into a bubble. A vegan bubble. Sometimes to the point that I forget that people who eat everything have no clue about what I eat as a vegan. It’s become my normal to…

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Romee Hoeksma and I am on a journey to an eco-positive life. An eco-positive lifestyle is a lifestyle in which I have a more positive than negative impact on the beautiful planet earth. On this blog you can follow my journey to a life with only positive impact. At this blog you can find all sorts of things, from tips to recipes to personal experiences, but most of all fun (I hope!). I write about how I want to change the world, but don’t look at it as if I’m judging you. If anything, I like responses from my dear readers the most, so don’t hesitate to contact me or respond to any of my posts!

Yours sincerely,
Romee
